Why Every Yoga Teacher in Dubai Needs This Right Now
One in eight people globally lives with a diagnosed mental health condition. In the UAE, that number is rising — and your students are among them.
They arrive on the mat carrying deadlines, divorce, loneliness, and pressure they cannot name. They are not broken. But they are struggling. And as their teacher, you feel it — the tight shoulders that never release, the student who cries in savasana, the executive who cannot slow his breath no matter how many times you cue him.
Most yoga teachers were never trained for this moment. They were taught asana, alignment, and sequencing. But nobody taught them what is happening in the nervous system when a student cannot let go. Nobody explained polyvagal theory, the limbic system, or why a specific pranayama calms a panic response at a physiological level.
That is exactly what NeuroYoga teaches.
This is not a general wellness course. It is a precise, science-backed certification that bridges 5,000 years of yogic wisdom with the latest findings in neuroscience and psychology — built for yoga teachers who want to teach at a deeper level and be taken seriously by students, studios, and corporate clients alike.
Not Another Yoga Certificate. A New Level of Teaching.
Classical Roots, Modern Science
Every technique in this course is rooted in the Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and Patanjali’s eight limbs — then mapped directly to neuroscience research so you can teach with both depth and evidence.
Built for the Dubai Professional
This course was designed in response to 25 years of teaching yoga to executives at Emirates, PepsiCo, Emaar, and Fairmont. It understands the specific pressures, pace, and emotional landscape of the people you are teaching in this city.
Small Cohort. Real Transformation
Every intake is capped at 15 participants. You will not sit in a lecture hall watching slides. You will practise, teach, receive feedback, and leave with the confidence to apply everything immediately — in your next class.

What our graduates say
Real Teachers. Real Transformation.
From yoga studios in Dubai to corporate wellness rooms across the UAE — here is what NeuroYoga certified teachers are experiencing.
I have been teaching yoga for six years and thought I understood the nervous system. This course showed me how little I knew — and gave me a completely new language to work with my students. The module on polyvagal theory alone was worth the entire investment. I use it every single class now.
I lead wellness sessions for a team of 80 people at a large Dubai corporation. Before NeuroYoga, I could feel that my classes were helping — but I could not explain why. Now I can speak to HR directors and senior leadership using the same language they use. It has opened doors I never expected.
As a counsellor, I was sceptical that a yoga course could add anything meaningful to my professional toolkit. I was completely wrong. Sumit's ability to bridge ancient yogic wisdom with neuroscience is unlike anything I have seen. I now recommend specific breathing practices to my clients between sessions with full clinical confidence.
I own a studio in JLT and sent two of my teachers on this course. Within a month both had launched their own mental health yoga workshops and we sold out in 48 hours. The ROI on this certification was immediate and very real. Sumit teaches with an authority that comes from decades of actual experience — not textbooks.
I joined NeuroYoga not to teach — but to understand my own anxiety. By Module 4 I was in tears because for the first time I could see exactly what my nervous system was doing and why. I have since started teaching small groups and three of my students have told me it has changed their lives. This course changed mine first.
Is This Course Right for You?
You are a yoga teacher who senses your students are carrying more than tight hamstrings into class. You want the knowledge to actually help them — and a credential that proves you can.
You are a therapist or counsellor who already knows the mind-body connection is real. You want practical, evidence-based tools from yoga and neuroscience that you can bring into sessions with confidence — not just theory.
You are a healthcare professional who sees stress, anxiety, and burnout in your patients every day. You want to understand how breathwork and movement science can support what you are already doing — and learn to apply it to yourself first.
You are an individual who has tried everything and knows that yoga helps — but wants to understand why, go deeper, and perhaps begin sharing it with others.
If any of these sounds like you, you are in the right place.
Sumit Manav: 25 Years of Yogic Wisdom
Nervous System Yoga Certification
Sumit Manav trained in the Himalayas under traditional yogic masters. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV), Haridwar — one of India’s most respected yoga institutions — and carries BKS Iyengar certification, a credential earned by very few teachers worldwide.
Over 25 years, he has taught yoga to senior executives and wellness teams at Emirates, PepsiCo, Emaar, Kellogg’s, Fairmont, and flydubai — bringing the science of the nervous system and the depth of classical Indian yoga into some of the most demanding professional environments in the world.
He is the founder of Lifestyle Yoga World at Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai, and Manav Yoga in the UK. His teaching is rooted in Patanjali’s eight limbs, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Yoga Sutras — aligned with Dev Sanskriti University, AYUSH, and Yoga Alliance USA standards.
The NeuroYoga certification is built from 25 years of working with real people under real pressure. Not theory. Not trends. A clinical understanding of how the breath, the nervous system, and ancient yogic practice interact — and how to teach it with confidence.
"The body is the temple, the breath is the ritual, and the mind is the deity within. Honor all three through yoga, and awaken to your wholeness."

Absolutely. This course can be profoundly beneficial for individuals with mental health conditions. The practices and knowledge you'll gain are designed to support your well-being. However, it's important to note that this course is not a substitute for therapy or medical treatment. While a regular yoga teacher training (such as a 200-hour YTT) provides a broad foundation in various aspects of yoga, this 20-hour Yoga for Mental Health course offers specialized, in-depth training focused specifically on the therapeutic application of yoga for mental and emotional well-being. We delve deeper into the science of stress, anxiety, and depression, explore trauma-informed principles, and provide practical tools that you can immediately apply to your own life or share with clients. This course is designed to complement, not replace, a traditional YTT, although it can be taken independently by anyone interested in using yoga to support mental health.
